Does anyone have a particular recommendation for the make and model of fixture and bulb that would do a good job uplighting some tall white oak trees?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Looking at your earlier post under Design and my reply on this topic I make the following recommendation: lamp type MR-16 12v 20w BAB 35 degree with front cover glass; fixture Hadco BL616 in color of your choice; position 6' away from the trunk of each tree facing your point-of-view and aimed straight up into the underside of the leaf canopy. If you want higher light levels choose a 35w lamp of the same type. The front cover glass of the MR-16 prevents deterioration of the reflective surface of the lamp due to moisture condensation within the fixture that would over time diminish light output.
I have an installed base of thousands of the Hadco BL616 which perform well at a reasonable price. Be cautioned however that this fixture is labeled inside as "50w only" which is incorrect. What Hadco means is "50w max" but they can't seem to correct this error. The BL616 will not support a 50w lamp which will cause the lens to crack and the connectors inside the housing to cook and fail. If you think you need a lamp above 35w (which I doubt but you may have ambient light conditions to overcome) Hadco makes a larger fixture BL1 that will take up to a 75w MR-16. Take the time to clean the fixture occasionally since leaf drop may obscure the lens and diminish light output. Many other manufacturers make similar fixtures but what you need is a metal fixture preferably non-ferrous with a quality thermo-set powdercoat finish unless you choose copper or brass which does not need to be painted.
