Is anyone using, or can they recommend a software package that includes estimates, customer database, products installed, vendors, etc. ?

I've looked, but it seems most of these packages focus on landscaping rather than lighting

I run MacIntosh and to my knowledge no one has written software such as you describe for that platform. However, there are some estimator CD-ROMs available from low voltage equipment manufacturers that will help you spec (surprise!) their products. A quick way to search is to go to <http://www.callite.com> (California Lansdscape Lighting 800.457.0710) since they represent a broad range of equipment manufacturers and have links to many web sites. There are other web based companies that provide similar services. Personally, I think what you seek may be a will-of-the-wisp since your location in the NE is different to a large degree from the California conditions which bias most manufacturers. I maintain that there major differences: climate, soil conditions, client preferences for lower-keyed lighting and a shorter work season that preclude a single approach to outdoor lighting.
