I am able to find a 120V phot eye for a lamp post like the one found at this link http://www.buylightfixtures.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=699

Does anyone know where I can find a similar model that is for 12V?

The transformer that steps down 120v to 12v is what is controlled thus a 120v photocontrol such as the one shown in your link is the correct item to use. It is the transformer that is switched which then in turn switches the low voltage lights off or on. Similarly an appropriate dimming control for low voltage lighting reduces the currrent to the 120v magnetic or electronic transformer to make the 12v lights bright or dim.
