What is the general thoughts on UL1838, we have been having mixed emotions about this whole transformer business and are interested in what others think. I feel that while UL1838 offers limitation up to 14 volts there is still a need for the 22 volt higher output ones too.

I believe UL1838 offers limitations up to 15V not 14V.

The 15V secondary output when connected to the rated voltage (which I'm assuming is 120V) when they say "open" circuit. Do they mean with no load 15V is the limit. or 15V limit with a full 25 amp load on that circuit.
