Not Sure what I need

I have a stone retaining wall (85' x 4') that I would like to accent with landscape lighting. Behind the wall I have a variety of plants and small trees as well. Being new to the fixtures I was hoping to get some advice as to what fixtures to use. My only experience with landscape lighting has been with the kits sold at the do-it-yourself stores. If you know of any articles or websites that I can visit that might help educate me on what is the best type of fixture for a specific location I would greatly appreciate it.
