After doing some investigation on the different manufacturers and their respective products, I recently purchased a Vista transformer (CT300T) and six Vista light fixtures (3 bullets - GR2216, 3 path lights - PR9027B). I haven't installed them just yet, but I'm looking for some feedback. What are the general opinions of Vista products, and any known issues with the transformer or fixtures I purchased? Thanks for your help.

You may want to consider adding the optional photocontrol to this unit (see "dusk to timed off" post) to avoid constantly resetting the "on" time. I question the utility of the 11v tap but I suppose it is of some use if there is a light very close to the transformer. When using multi-tap transformers (UL1838 allows up to 15v on the secondary) it is advisable to have a digital volt meter to make certain that you are not overvolting any of the lamps.
The GR2216 has the great advantage of the spring clip to hold the MR16 firmly in the socket; while this clip is widely available Vista is the only manufacturer I know of that uses this throughout their line. [Unique now equips all MR fixtures with the clip] I'm not a big fan of pathlights but at least your Vistas do not use an automotive type (SCB or DCB) socket and lamp but uses instead an up-to-date halogen or xenon lamp. I think you should get reliable, relatively trouble-free service from your equipment.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I did purchase the photocontrol unit, so I should be all set there.
Regarding the multiple tap voltages .....there's three taps, but they're all 12 volts. The units with varying voltage output (11 - 13v) are different models, I believe CTT, vs CT. There slightly more expensive. Since my runs are relatively short (< 50') I figured I could get away with only 12V.
Thanks again for the info.
