Your site is great, I am a new user and read with interest about the Buchanan Four Way Crimp tool, I am in the process of getting one but the only packages I can find for the crimp connector model 2011S is in the amout of 500 and the same for the spice cap insulator model 1-2014. Does anyone know a source that I can get say fifty of each?

That's a great question, but if you are forking over the money for the crimper, you are making a commitment. The discounted cost of 500 crimps and caps is probably not much more than 50 or so of each, plus you'd pay about the same in shipping.
I am hoping someone here will refer us to some good on-line suppliers for harder to find electrical tools and materials, or at least reference a thread that contains one. I don't know of any landscape lighting distributors that sell them.

The tool, crimps and caps constitute a proprietary system; Buchanan is owned by:
http://www.idealindustries.com
Their web site dealer locator page is currently not functioning but almost any electrical supply house stocks Ideal products but the Buchanan line may be special order. You can request Ideal's Buchanan Construction Products catalog #B-059; I have the 5/00 edition which may have been updated.
If you search "Buchanan" on this site it will take you to all the posts (to date 10) that contain that word; some thread within a forum list more than one page of posts. Be sure to look at the other pages (if any) by advancing to the next page using the page numbers shown at the top and bottom of the post listing.
The small "barrels" are packed in boxes of 100; the caps in boxes of 100. The large "barrels" are packed 50 to a box; the caps 50 to the box. These are the smallest amounts available. To get a better price you can buy the small crimp/cap in bags of 1,000. The large size quantities are simply multiple boxes of each in a large carton.
The price break for bagged 1,000 small sets is about 50%; I don't think there is much of a price break on larger quantities of the large sets since there is no bulk pack.
A good source for electrical tools and supplies is:

Although the bed and breakfast inn looked pretty nice, too.
