Having waited seven weeks for my copy of "The Landscape Lighting Book" by Janet Lennox Moyer to arrive from Amazon, I was rather dissapointed that it arrived without a protective dust cover (as shown on their website).

I contacted Amazon, who tell me that the book does indeed come without a cover. I feel rather cheeted to pay £70 + for a book without a protective cover.

Don't get me wrong, I consider the book, a fantastic source of information and I've no complaints whatsoever other than the dust cover.

I'd be interested to know from anyone else with a copy if theirs had a dust cover.
Thanks

My second copy (also from Amazon) purchased in July 2000 did not have a dust jacket either. My original copy purchased directly from the publisher John Wiley & Sons in 1992 came with the dust jacket shown in the Amazon ad. I loaned the original book to an electrician friend who did not return it (I deducted $90.00 from his commission check) but he subsequently gave me the cover. Of course, the cover art is also included in the book as color plate 2. The explanation I was given about the missing dust jacket was that the original print run for the 4 color art was exhausted and never reprinted because of the costs involved and the relatively few copies sold. I will be writing a longer review of this book to post on lowvolt.org The review I wrote for amazon was very brief.
